RxSense was excited to have former Governor of Utah and Secretary of HHS, Mike Leavitt, join our CEO and founder Rick Bates for an insightful discussion about the Biden Administration’s healthcare policy agenda and our nation’s response to the pandemic. Leavitt offered fascinating perspectives on numerous timely and compelling topics including the social determinants of health, lowering the cost of prescriptions, and the importance of value based care in post-pandemic America. When asked to share his point of view on Biden’s top healthcare agenda items outside of the pandemic, Leavitt suggested the Administration will focus on social justice, expanding Medicare, and returning the Affordable Care Act to its original state. Additionally, Leavitt noted that industry disruptors, like RxSense, will help drive the change which is necessary to make healthcare in the U.S. more affordable and accessible.
